About
I’m Vaibhav. I’m real in the room.
I’m a psychologist based in Delhi NCR. I work with adults who have spent a long time holding it together on their own. Sessions are in English or Hindi, online or in person.
Why I do this
A lot of us grew up having our feelings dismissed.
In India especially, people still hesitate to come to therapy. Stigma, fear of judgment, family pressure, or simply not knowing what it is.
Many people believe therapy is only for “serious mental illness”, or for people who are weak. So they grow up suppressing emotions, avoiding conversations about how they really are, and treating emotional suffering as normal. Not because they want to, but because for most of their lives, what they felt was brushed aside.
I became a psychologist to be the opposite of that. A place where what you feel is taken seriously, looked at honestly, and understood.
I don’t sugarcoat things, and I don’t hand out advice. I take time to explain what is happening in your mind when that helps, and I let trust build at its own pace. My approach is eclectic: I use what fits you, not one method for everyone.
Honestly, Vaibhav
How I am in the room
Gentle, but honest.
Techniques matter. But what people remember is how it felt to be in the conversation.
- Human-centred and conversational
- Emotionally present, not purely technique-driven
- Exploration over judgment
- Meaning and identity, beyond reducing symptoms
- Psychology, expressive arts and creativity, together
- Gentle but honest conversations
- From surviving, towards a more meaningful way of living

Honestly
Am I the right therapist for you?
Probably yes, if…
- You have been wanting a safe space to think out loud
- You want perspective, not advice
- You know this is different from talking to friends or family
- You are willing to show up and do the work, at your own pace
Probably not, if…
- You are under 18. I work with people aged 18 and above, but I’m happy to connect you with colleagues who work with younger age groups
- You want someone to solve your life for you, or a quick fix
- You need to be convinced that therapy is worth trying
- You need urgent help right now. I can support you through a difficult period, but I’m not an emergency service. If it can’t wait, please call Tele-MANAS on 14416 first
